Deacon, Curtis (Curt) James

Curtis (Curt) James Deacon, 40, of Black Mountain passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at his home. A native of Bayport in Long Island, N.Y., he was a son of Robert Ralph Deacon, of Key West, Fla. and Marjorie Ruth Corbin Vitale, of Christiansburg, Va. Curt was an exquisite chef who enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all spending time with his son. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Corbin McKinley Deacon; stepson, Quinn Ryland Sforza; brother, Richard Lewis Deacon; niece, Brittany Deacon; nephews, Brandon and Bradley Deacon. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, Va.
