Dawson, Mary Jane Cooper

Mary Jane Cooper Dawson, 75, of Pulaski, and Hinton, W.Va., entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, in the LewisGale Montgomery Hospital after a long illness. Born in Wythe County, Va., on November 29, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Martin Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Dawson; a sister, Dee Papillon; and grandchildren, Brian Yancy and Jamie Gill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pulaski. Surviving are daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Williams, of Green Sulfer Springs, W.Va., and Tammy Gill Ramey, of Rupert, W.Va.; sister, Kitty Spry; brother, Robert (Buddy) Cooper; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, Pulaski with the Rev. Aaron Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum with a private family service. The family is in the care of Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va., 540-980-2600.
