Davis, Timothy Vance

Timothy Vance Davis, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at his home. Born August 9, 1961, in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Franceina Louise Suttle Turner of Narrows, VA, and the late Melburn Kyle Davis.

Timothy worked as a welder for the Norris Screen Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a humble man with a big heart who loved his children, grandchildren, and family. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved singing karaoke.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Leann Davis; and one brother, Todd Davis. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife, Alene Elizabeth Davis; one son, Timothy Vance Davis, Jr., “Little Buddy”, of the home; two daughters, Valerie Ann “Val-Doo” Griggs and fiancé Kevin Jackson of Ballard, WV, and Ashley Nicole “Ash-Bucket” Hubbard and husband Donald of Peterstown, WV; one step-daughter, Amber Marie Fisher of Princeton, WV; three brothers, Barry Davis of Oakvale, WV, Scotty Davis of NC, and Billy Davis of Cashmere, WV; six grandchildren, Shane Griggs, Nathan Slatton, Riley Griggs, Dalton Hubbard, Christian Hubbard, and Jackson Hubbard; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 7, 2020, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Rev. Billy Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.

Due to the regulations associated with COVID-19 and the WV Governor’s Mandate, those attending the funeral services and visitation are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
