Russell (Dean) Davis, 51, of Christiansburg, Va., and Hagerstown, Md., died on Monday, February 2, 2015. He was born on September 1, 1963. He graduated in 1981 from Christiansburg High School and was employed in automotive sales and management for over 25 years.

Dean was an avid sportsman, spending time with his friends at the hunting cabin and he enjoyed playing golf on Sunday mornings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell E. Davis; and grandparents, Walter “Ben” and Sally Shaver Davis, Roy K. and Virginia Meredith Vaught.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey M. Marietta; grandson, Anthony Jasper Stuart Sudeghi, both of Roanoke; mother, Jeanne Vaught Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Tony E. and Jackie Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Robin D. and Charles Miles; nephews, Cory and Brad Davis, Timmy, Tyler and Ben Miles; niece, Jessica Miles; great-nephew, Parker Miles, all of Christiansburg; aunts and uncles, Judy Austin of Blacksburg, Jane Davis of Christiansburg, Brenda and Ralph Shaver of Narrows, Margaret V. Davis of Christiansburg, Janie Moss, Jackie and Ramona Vaught, Roberta Vaught, all of Florida; special cousin, Sharon Davis; numerous cousins and other relatives; special friends, Greg Wade, Doug Amos, Chris Peters, Mike Richardson, Norman Gray, Greg Webb, and Steve Akers; and his special companion, Nola.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening, February 6, 2015, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
