Davis, Ruby Johnston

Ruby Elizabeth Johnston Davis, 89, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 19, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family in Staffordsville, VA. She was born on June 22, 1932 in Trigg, VA, the daughter of the late William Tunis & Vinnie Mae Stafford Johnston.

Ruby was a faithful member of Eaton’s Chapel Church. She loved her Lord and her family beyond measure. She treasured the beauty of her flowers and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. God could not have created a better wife, mother, grandmother or cook.

Besides her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband. Ernest C. Davis, two brothers, Preston Johnston and Wiley Johnston and a sister, Hazel Pritt.

Left to cherish her beloved memory are her three daughters, Joan & Ricky Johnston, of Pembroke, VA, Jean Hall, of Staffordsville, VA and Kathy & Carroll Perdue, of Staffordsville, VA; five grandchildren, Leslie & T.J. Morris, Chris Perdue, Rickie Lee & Nikki Johnston, Ryan Johnston and Ben & Gracie Hall; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Perdue, Ellis Morris, Ava-Lee Johnston and little Ruby Elyse, one sister, Dorothy Galliher, of Ripplemead, VA, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Eaton’s Chapel Church from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Eaton’s Chapel Church with Charles Henderson and Bob Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Ernest in Eaton’s Chapel Cemetery.
