Davis, Earlyn Jane

Earlyn Jane Davis, 78 of Narrows, passed away Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg.

She was born in Pearisburg on March 7th, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Lucille Turner Sharp. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Von Elmer Davis.

Jane loved traveling, especially cruises and to Disney World. She visited 46 of the 50 states, and many countries in Europe. She enjoyed going on trips with the Giles Senior Center, and was always ready for a road trip. Jane was truly the “Crazy Cat Lady,” as she loved her five cats, Callie, Pokey, Cindy, Boo Boo and Sweetie.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Vicki Chalkley of Aylett, Virginia; a son, Greg Davis of Narrows; three sisters, Carolyn Frazier of Sequim, Washington, Brenda Perkins of Morrow, Ohio, and Gwen Sharp of Morrow, Ohio; and a special cousin, Connie Spicer of Narrows.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park.
