Berton “Bert” Dalton Davis, age 90 of Alum Spring Road in Pulaski passed away at Highland Ridge Rehab Center on July 12, 2022. Born October 6, 1931 in Draper’s Valley, Virginia to the late Martin Isaac Dalton & Minnie Whitt Dalton. She was the youngest of 13 children.

Berton was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord. She was a member of the Open-Door Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family. She also loved her flower gardens, roses, cooking and canning and most of all fishing at Cape Hatteras.

Berton was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 57years, Buford F. Davis. She was also preceded in death by her brother and best friend Colney I. Dalton, 10 sisters and son-in-law, Thomas E. Primm.

Berton is survived by her

Daughters – Anita D. (Coby) Fizer and Cynthia Primm (her caregiver for many years)

Son – B. Allen (Tammy) Davis

Grandchildren – Candice D. (Jeremy) Draper, Jacob A. (Casey) Davis, India A. Fizer (Rodney Poff)

Great Grandchildren – Aaron Draper, Owen Draper, Amelia Davis

Sister & Best Friend – Hazel D. Covey – Pulaski

Brother-in-law & wife – Larry (Karen) Davis – Roanoke

Many nieces, nephews and extended family

The family would also like to recognize nurse and special friend, Kathy Surber who was like a daughter.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM – Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Kelly Howlett officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul D’amico for the many years of care he gave to Berton, Highland Ridge Rehab for the care they provided and Good Samaritan Hospice for their services.

The family will receive friends and visitors at the home of Allen and Tammy Davis (3688 Gallimore Drive, Pulaski, VA).
