Lucy Kent Hale Danner, 66, of 1217 McGill Street, Pulaski, died Thursday night, February 16, 2006 in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

She was born in Pulaski County on November 1, 1939 and was the daughter of the late, Frank Hale and Elizabeth Draper Hale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Newell Gleaves (Sandy) Danner, Sr. She was a member of the New Dublin Presbyterian Church and was a retired nurse.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Fredrick R. & April Danner, Christiansburg; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra D. & Roger Crowder, Jr., Pulaski; foster daughter, Anglique Cox, Pulaski; stepson, Newell G. Danner, Jr., Michigan; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Patsy Hale, Wytheville; grandchildren, Kayla, Jared, Josh, Wayne, Walker and Marty.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jean Brown and the Rev. John K. Boyd officiating. There will be a memorial service to be held at the church on Monday at 2 p.m. A reception will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Visiting will be Sunday evening from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that contributions be made to the Presbyterian Children’s Home of the Highlands, Inc., PO Box 545, Wytheville, Va. 24382.
