Danieley, Ellis Eugene

Ellis Eugene Danieley, 71, of Radford, Va., passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Edward and Atha Robertson Danieley; a brother, Keith Danieley; and a granddaughter, Jessica Danieley.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Hercey Danieley; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Danieley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Todd Blankenship, and Deborah “Dee Dee” and Mike Kennedy; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Kelsey Danieley, Chris and Brian Blankenship, and Sarah, Emily, Joe and Sam Kennedy, all of Radford; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Danieley, of Covington, Ga., and Herman E. Jr. and Bernadette Danieley, of Camarillo, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Ken Newman, of Fayetteville, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Gethsemane Baptist Church.
