Virginia Lee Dalton, 95, of Wolf Creek, in Narrows went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at her home. She was born May 21, 1913, at Giles Co., Va., the daughter of the late Grover and Virgie Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cannie A. Dalton; three sons, William H. Dalton, Frank D. Dalton and Douglas M. (Mack) Dalton; also three sisters and five brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories seven daughters, Geneva Shrader, of Narrows, Margie Wolfe, of Grapevine, Texas, Phyllis Rhodes and husband, Charles, of Mooresville, N.C., Mary and husband, Douglas Hughes, of Narrows, Bobbie Perdue and husband, Randall, of Narrows, Linda Bradley and husband, Roy, of Pearisburg, Sue Robertson and husband, Robert, of Bland; one son, James Melvin Dalton and wife, Jackie, of Narrows; one sister, Faye Hull, of Rocky Gap; 24 grandchildren; and numerous greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at East Chapel Community Church on Wolf Creek, Narrows with the Rev. Shawn Wilburn officiating. Burial in Angel’s Rest Cemetery, Narrows. Visitation will be Monday at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
