Dalton, Roger Lee

Roger Lee Dalton, 61, of Pulaski, Va., died Wednesday, May 26, 2010. He was born in Pulaski County on October 23, 1948, and was the son of the late Foster Dalton and Annabell Owen Dalton.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Surviving are wife, Peggy Ritter Dalton, of Pulaski, Va.; sons, Todd and Meredith Jones, of Tappahannock, Va., Chadwick Dalton and fiancée, Carribeth, of Pulaski, Va.; sister, Elizabeth and Bill Largen, of Dublin, Va.; brothers, Robert and Ernestine Dalton, of Wytheville, Va., Alvin Dalton, of Dublin, Va.; grandchildren, Landen Scott Dalton, of Christiansburg, Va., Payton Savannah Jones, of Tappahannock, Va., Kylie Elizabeth Jones, of Tappahannock, Va.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the Heritage Church, Dublin, with the Rev. Michael Sweeny officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County with the Pulaski V.F.W. post # 1184 conducting the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Saturday from the church where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the Heritage Church Building Fund, 6195 Cleburne Blvd., Dublin, Va. 24084.
