Dalton, George Elbert

George Elbert Dalton, 87 of Pearisburg, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke. He was born January 25, 1924 in Giles County, VA the son of the late Elias and Mary Elsie Viars Dalton.

George was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two brothers, John Dalton of Pearisburg; Baylord (Jiggs) Dalton of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister, Barbara Sue Taylor, Elkton, Maryland; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Services – Monday, September 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating

Burial – Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg

Visitation – At the funeral home on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M
