Elsie B. Dalton: November 11, 1916 – July 13, 2008. She was born November 11, 1916 in Pulaski County, VA, and was the daughter of the late Louvenia and Charles Brown.

She was retired from the Pulaski County, VA School System, where she worked as a “Lunch Lady” for many years at the Dublin and Pulaski County High Schools. She was a long-time and active member of the Mt. View United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Lowman James Dalton: brothers; William Brown, George Brown, Glenn Brown, John Brown, Simon Brown, Harry Brown, and Arthur Brown: sisters; Abby Burton, Mary Myers, and Mae Dalton.

She is survived by two daughters: Amelia “Tootsie” Salyers and her husband Frank of McDowell, KY, and Polly Parker of Prestonburg, KY: two sons; Ibry Lee “Dick” Dalton and his wife Cecille of Dublin, and Michael Dalton and his wife Lucy of Chesterfield, VA. Also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild., and two sisters-in-law; Edith Brown of Radford, and Josie Dalton of Richmond, VA.

Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at SEAGLES. Visiting will be Tuesday at SEAGLES from 6 until 8 p.m.
