Dalton, Duane Allen

Senior Trooper Duane Allen Dalton, 38, of Moss Bluff, La., formerly of Fairlawn, Va., died on January 12, 2010, as the result of an accident while on duty. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Charissa Benoit Dalton; sons, Tyler, Nicholas, and Jacob Dalton, all of Moss Bluff; parents, Sonny and Connie Dalton, of Virginia; brother, Doug Dalton; sister, Michelle Stanley, both of Huntsville, Ala.; and nieces and nephews, Sidney, Caila, Demi and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sid and Martha Dalton and Roby and Pauline Dickerson. A memorial service to remember and celebrate the life of Trooper Dalton will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Morgan’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 6540 New River Road, Radford, Va. Trooper Dalton’s parents and siblings will receive friends following the service.
