Clarence E. Dalton, 86, of Pulaski, entered the gates of Heaven Monday, Jan 17, 2011. He was born in Pulaski Sept. 20, 1924 and was the son of the late Druary Dalton and Sarah Coalson Dalton of Pulaski. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters, as well as 11 half-siblings.

Clarence served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked at Coleman Furniture and later retired from Pulaski Furniture.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth F. Dalton, Pulaski; son, Michael A. Dalton and wife, Kim, Pulaski; daughters, Cathy Boyd and husband, Mike, Hiwassee and Lisa Dalton, Pulaski; special friend, Joe Kegley; granddaughter, Megan Boyd, Hiwassee; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Orren and husband, Ryan, Joshua Freeman and wife, Heather, and Kayla Coon and husband, Brad; and step-great-grandson, Dawson Coon.

He will be missed by all his family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Revs. John Love and David Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with Pulaski VFW Post 1184 conducting the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6-8. The family will also be meeting at the home of the son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Dalton, 616 Sixth St. NE, Pulaski. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home.
