He is survived by wife, Mary Jean Cunningham, of Roanoke; stepdaughter, Pam Hensen, of Salem; sisters, Geneva Martin, of Roanoke, and Linda Meredith and husband, John, of Shawsville; step grandchildren, Chad and Brandon Howard, of Salem; nephew, Don Cunningham and wife, Michelle; good friends, Roger Hodges and wife, Phyllis, and Mike Hodges and wife Carol; and many other friends. Special thanks to Medisis Hospice, Carilion Hospice Care, and all the other friends who helped out in any way. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger L. Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Huffville Cemetery.
