Cunningham, Paul R.

Paul R. Cunningham, 75, of Collinsville, Va, formally of Pilot, VA died on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Hospital with his family by his side. He was a member and deacon of Fairview Baptist Church in Martinsville, Va. Paul served his country in the Armed Forces. He was the son of the late Lewis and Louise Cunningham.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Cunningham of fifty years; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and R.C. Harrison of Martinsville, Va; brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Wanda Cunningham of Christiansburg, Va; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Jay Jackson of Dublin, Va; sister, Wanda Hankins; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Shelor; many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly; and his dear special friends Willard and Wanda, W.J. and Michelle Whitlow and family.

The family would like to express their thanks to all the doctors and staff of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their kindness,
care, and compassion for Paul and his family.

Paul liked to hunt and go fishing, watch NASCAR races and best of all loved to eat out with family and friends. He loved the Lord and especially his church family. He loved all of his family and his extended family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA
