Cummings, James Kelsey

James (Jimmy) Kelsey Cummings, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the age of 68 after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leslie and Florence Cummings; two brothers, Winston and Wayne Cummings; a half brother and his wife, Sidney and Elizabeth Miles.

Jimmy is survived by a half brother and his wife, Otto and Irene Epperly of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Carmen Blevins of Abingdon, Va.; one nephew, Kavin Cummings of Abingdon, Va.; two nieces, Leslie and her husband, Andrew Ciaccia, of New Jersey and Francine and her husband, Barry Helms, of Christiansburg. Jimmy is also survived by several special friends, Margie Lawrence of Christiansburg and Greg Collins of South Carolina; great-nieces and nephews, Lindsey Cummings, Michael and Nicholas Ciaccia, Linda and her husband, Justin Acker, and Mary Helms. His dog, Sandy, also survives him.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at The Horne Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg with the Rev. Thomas McCum officiating.
