Cumbee, W. David

W. David Cumbee, 75 of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Mr. Cumbee was born in Giles County on December 11, 1945 to the late William H. and Elsie Mae Dowdy Cumbee. Mr. Cumbee is also preceded in death by his brothers, Warren Cumbee, Richard Cumbee and Bobby Cumbee.

David was a Christian and loved his Country which he proudly served. He also loved hunting and his family.

Mr. Cumbee is survived by his sisters, Louise Dowdy of Newport and Hazel Warsing of Crew, VA. Special nieces and nephews, Shawn, Josh, Chad, Chris, Cody, Treva, Hannah, Caleb and Todd, special friends, Sawyer, Avery, Macy, Emeree, Brook and Kelly. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

There will be a Military Graveside Service on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastor Eddie Kendall Officiating.
