Cruise, Delmer Lee

Delmer Lee Cruise, 66, of Pembroke, departed this life Friday afternoon December 17, 2010 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. Born in Giles County on September 26, 1944, he was a son of the late Leslie and Maggie Lucas Cruise. Delmer was a graduate of Giles High School and had been employed at Moog in Blacksburg. He was preceded in death by his in-laws Gilbert and Ethel Lang. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-seven years, Peggy Sue Lang Cruise; his son, Gordon Lee Cruise; his brother-in-law, Ronald Dean Lang; his great-nieces, Jennifer and Amber Lang; his great-nephew, Ronnie Paul Lang; and his great-great-nephew, Braxton Lee Pennington. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with burial following in the Lucas Cemetery at Newport.
