James (Jim) Lloyd Crosier Sr., 79, of Christiansburg, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014. James was born in Radford, a son to the late John and Ola Lucille Sowder Crosier.

Along with his parents James was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny McDonald; four brothers, Jack, Robert, Bill and Harold Crosier; one sister, Ann Thompson.

James attended school in Shawsville, after he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, later worked at Yale Locks and then Medeco Locks as a foreman and then became the owner operator of Crosier Grocery, in Salem, he enjoyed time gardening and auctions.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his son, James L. Crosier Jr.; daughter in-law, Tracy; Sister, Helen Owens and Jane Barnett; grandson, Brandon James Crosier; along with a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Open Door Baptist Church, 3995 Roanoke St. Christiansburg, a funeral service to honor the life of James (Jim) Lloyd Crosier, will start at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the church with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating, interment will follow at Piedmont Cemetery.
