William Darrell Cromer, 68, of Radford, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the New River Valley Medical Center.

He was a member of Carter Street United Methodist Church, a retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry with over 44 years of service, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alward “Babe” and Alice Cromer. Survivors include his wife, Linda Beasley Cromer of Radford; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Robbie Santolla of Pearisburg; two granddaughters, Emily Jordan and Hanna Elizabeth Santolla; two sisters, Katherine Gilmore, Radford and Mary Jane Akers, Dublin; cousin, Dorothy Kirby, Radford; and special friend, Sharon Dalton of Christiansburg.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Carter Street United Methodist Church in Radford, with the Rev. Kristie Bane and the Rev. Terry Gregory officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites.
