Criner, Wayne Mitchell

Wayne Mitchell Criner, 66, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his home. He was born in Blacksburg, VA on April 21, 1947 to the late Arnold Bernard and Mattie Frances Caldwell Criner. Wayne was employed at Federal Mogul with 28 years of service.

He is survived by his companion, Gladys Davis Cooper, Blacksburg; a daughter, Mattie Frances Collins, Blacksburg, two sons, DeWayne Criner, Pembroke, Danny Bailey, Christiansburg; two brothers, A. Bernard Criner, Blacksburg, Fred L. Criner, Christiansburg; a number of grandchildren; a special canine companion, Baby; and three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Martin, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
