Roslyn Atkins Crews, 71, of Claytor Lake, Radford, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012, at 4 a.m. Born in Mercer County W.Va., October 17, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Mildred Pauline Wiley Atkins and Byron Edgar Atkins of Princeton, W.Va. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward Clay Crews; two daughters, Kathy Crews, of Richmond, and Sharon Crews Van Kemp, of Summerfield, N.C.; one son-in-law, John Van Kemp; three grandchildren, Keli and Edward Ratcliffe, of Richmond, and Johnny Crews Van Kemp, of Summerfield, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Bryce Moore; one brother, Dr. Terry Atkins, of Princeton, W.Va.; one sister, Anna Kathryn “Kitty” Price, of Princeton, W.Va. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Radford. Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Carter and Don Shelor officiating. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. A reception will be held while the family is receiving friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church building fund. Arrangements made by DeVilbiss Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Radford.
