Creger, Virginia Vaughn Lovern

Virginia Vaughn Lovern Creger, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2007.

She was born February 12, 1915. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Amanda Sutphin Vaughn; her husband, Charlie W. Creger; also her son, Howard Donald Lovern; her brothers, L. Waitman Vaughn, his wife Cecile, Moden Vaughn, his wife Ola, and Walter W. Vaughn.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Helen Elkins Lovern; grandsons, Gary, Denny and Jeff Lovern; granddaughter, Tina Lovern, all of Centinnial, Colorado; her sister and brother-in-law, Arintha and husband William Boyer, Roanoke, Mae Dobbins and sister-in-law, Ann Vaughn, Christiansburg; very special nephew, Jackie Dobbins of Bethel Community.

She leaves many nieces, nephews, family and friends to miss her. She worked for Community Action, Adult Education and First Virginia Bank, and was a volunteer at Radford Community Hospital. She was a member of Fairview and Bethel United Methodist Churches for many years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Mooris officiating. Interment will follow in Vaughn Family Cemetery, Route 177, Bethel Community. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford. At her request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joy Ranch, Hillsville, Va.
