Crawford Jr., Earl S.

Earl S. (Rooster) Crawford Jr., 59, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 12, 2008.

He was born in Pulaski on March 14, 1949, and was the son of the late Earl and Julia Crawford. He was a retired employee of RAAP, Radford. He was a devoted husband and father.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Dickerson Crawford, Christiansburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Hicks and Tony Hicks Jr., Radford, and Michelle Crawford, Pulaski; son, Daniel Crawford, Christiansburg; three granddaughters, Sarah Hite, Adrian Crawford and Julia Puckett; two grandsons, Nathaniel Crawford and Joshua Hicks; three sisters, Angie Kelso, Roberts Dale, Ala., Helen Lee, Corning, Ohio, and Brenda Lanter, Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008, from the Power of Deliverance holiness Church, Rt. 11, Pulaski County, with the Rev. Delores Shelton, the Rev. Carson Linkous and the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

Visiting will be held Sunday evening, June 15, 2008, from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
