Crawford, Freda Hayden

Freda Ann Crawford, age 77, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born December 15, 1943, in Summers County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hayden and Eleanor Young Farley. Freda was of the Baptist Faith and worked at Celanese in Narrows, VA, for 22 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Ann Perdue; and one brother, Walter Hayden “Joe” Farley, Jr. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Donald E. Crawford; one son, Steve Crawford and wife Crystal; five brothers, Jack Farley and wife Carolyn of Ronceverte, WV, Ronald Farley of Woodbridge, VA, Herman Farley and wife Nellie of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Gary Farley and wife Marsha, and Roger Dean Farley, all of Bozoo, WV; one sister Joyce Mogford and husband David of Ellenswood, GA; six grandchildren, Jennifer Crawford, Kimberly Crawford, Jaden Nance, Kristy Persinger, Jesse Perdue, and Bethany Brugh; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Tim Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Memorial Gardens in Lindside, WV. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

The family has requested that anyone attending the services, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
