Crane, Jerry Leon
Jerry Leon Crane, 61, went to live with Jesus on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at his home in Dublin. He was a member of Dublin Christian Church and a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired inspector with Yokohama Tire Co.
He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Eugene Crane and a sister, Bonnie Duncan. Survivors include his wife Linda L. Crane of Dublin; mother, Bertha B. Crane; son and daughter-in-law Jerry Leon, Jr. and Crystal Crane of Christiansburg; two daughters and son-in-law, Farrah Lynette Crane of Astoria, NY, and Tammy and Ronnie Atkinson of Christiansburg; six grandchildren, Brandon, Charlie, Christopher, Tommy, Kaitlyn and Rony Atkinson, and one special grandchild Ethan Connor Crane; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Billy Duncan of Radford and Patricia and Dan Woodyard of Dublin; and two special friends who were like brothers, Larry Hollins and Pete Roan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dublin Christian Church with Rev. Terry Hodge and Rev. Cliff MacLawhorne officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
