Craighead, George ‘June’

On May 17, 2018, George ‘June’ Craighead transitioned from his earthly home to his home in Heaven to live eternally with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 69 years, Helen Palmer Craighead; his faithful and loving daughters, Pat Myers (Maurice) and Joyce Walker (Warren); four grandchildren, Leslie Harris (Gary), Mike Roop (Jennifer), Christopher Walker (Heather), and Brandy Dorsey (Jon); and the lights of his life, four precious great-granddaughters, Gracie Walker, Willow, Sydney, and Talia Dorsey. Missing him greatly will be his three surviving sisters, Betty Perfater, Edith Epperly (Ray), and Geneva Morris; his aunt and dearest friend, Lillian Woods and his cousin Wanda Waltz; dear friend, Jean Hawks; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to his long-term caregiver Pat Sutts who took such great care of him and treated him like her own father, and Good Samaritan Hospice for their gentle care, especially Sherrie, Allie, and Lindsay.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 3-4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Services will follow in the Chapel, with Pastor Jeanie Dunkum and Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating.
