Clara Kathleen Craig, 99, of Richmond, formerly of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2008 from a Richmond hospital. She was born November 13, 1908 in Pulaski, Va., and was the daughter of the late Julius Luck and Octavia May Akers Craig.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Worley Hencil, Gary Thomas, Julius Luck, William Jordan, Ralph Boyd, Alva Dewey, and Earl Wesley, sisters, Madge Beatrice Thompson, Custis Octavia Benson-Draghi, Ethel Mae Shockley and Violet Lea Lewis.

Clara was the fifth (5th) of 12 children and the last in her generation to die. Clara was a member of the Bob White Blvd. Church of God, Pulaski, Va. since her early teens. She sang in a trio, choir and played an accordion. She is survived by 25 nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to caregivers at Hodges Manor, Richmond, Va., and to John D. Dutton, attorney/guardian and conservator in Richmond.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons, with the Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will be in Thornspring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time.
