Bernice Price Craggett, 65, of Elliston, died Thursday, February 15, 2007. She was born in Floyd County on September 25, 1941 to the late Albert Owen and Genieve Day Price. She was the widow of Leonard N. Craggett, Sr.

She was a member of Christiansburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, was a bus driver for Montgomery County Public Schools for 23 years and owned and operated her own upholstery shop for over 30 years.

She will be deeply missed by those surviving her which include her sons, Leonard N. Craggett and wife, Bertha of Elliston, Jeffrey T. Craggett and wife, Trisha of Lake Worth, Fla. and Charles S. Craggett of Elliston; grandchildren, Ashley Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, Aaron and Aliver Craggett of Elliston and Isaac Craggett on the way; sister, Baylease Price of Pulaski County; aunts, Arlease Roberts of Elliston and Geneva Price of Floyd County; uncles Douglas Day and wife, Betty of Blacksburg and Sam Day and wife, Hilda of Roanoke; and a host of relatives and friends. She will be remembered most for being an outgoing, zealous individual and for her love of her creator, Jehovah, God.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Christiansburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 105 Tower Rd., S.E., Christiansburg. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, Elliston Chapel, 268-2007.
