Crabtree, William Lee

William Lee (Billy) Crabtree, 50, of Christiansburg, Va., departed this life on Tuesday morning, February 23, 2010, at his home in the loving care of his wife. He was born on May 28, 1959, in Pearisburg, a son of Mary Riggins Web, of Rich Creek, and the late W.L. Crabtree Sr. Billy was a 1977 graduate of Giles High School and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for 27 years with H.T. Bowling Construction Company. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Valerie Jones Crabtree; his sons, Anthony Crabtree, of Kingsport, Tenn., and Adam Crabtree, of Peterstown, W.Va.; his daughter, Annie C. Rudisill, of the home; his mother and stepfather, Mary Riggins and Jim Webb, of Rich Creek; his sister, Sandi C. Conley, of Knoxville, Tenn.; his mother-in-law, Betty Jo Jones; his brothers and sisters-inlaw, Doug and Vicki Jones, Dedra and Jack Link, and Eric Jones; and a special niece, Erin Gray Kiser. Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Billy’s name to Bethel Chapel Church, P.O.
