Cox, Phillip Hughes

Phillip Hughes Cox, 66, of Copper Valley, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Pogue and Jessie Cox and his brother, Russell W. Cox.

Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Effie and Troy Higgs, Glenda and Arnold DeHart and Reba Wade; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Bessie Cox, Coleman L. Cox and Allen and Geneva Cox, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel in Floyd, with Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Sumpter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service at Maberry Funeral Home.
