Marcus L. Cox, 70, of 4536 Old Stage Road, Pulaski, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2007 in the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Salem.

He was born March 14, 1936 in Superior, West Virginia and was the son of the late Harry B. Cox, Sr., and Arzonia Kemp Cox. He was also preceded in death by a son, John M. Cox; a sister, Beulah Burchett; and a brother, Lee Autry Cox.

He was a retired employee of RAAP. He was a veteran having served in the US Army.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Rosetta T. Cox, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Stilwell, Dublin; son, Marcus Timothy “Rooster” Cox, Pulaski; six grandchildren, Shannon Hodge, Matthew Cox, Krissy Via, Bradley Hall, Sarah Cox and Brook Stilwell; two great-grandchildren, Austin Ingles and Carla Hodge; three brothers, Samuel Cox, Trenton, Tenn., Richard Cox, Fairlawn H.B. Cox, Jr., Pulaski.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Hufford Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Monday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
