Cox, Linda Alderman

Linda “Chubby” Cox, 72 of Christiansburg passed away on July 1, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on September 20, 1947 to the late Dale and Maisie Alderman.

Linda is survived by her three daughters, Tracy Burlingame and husband Eddie, Jennifer Lucas and friend Craig Brinkley, Jessica Chestnut and husband Randy; her pride and joy – her grandchildren, Elisia Blankenship and friend Mitchell Matney, Dallas Durham, Makayla Nell and husband Corban, Cameron Chestnut, Bryce Chestnut, Presley Lucas; her great-grandchildren, Gabrial and Aubrey Matney; as well as her four-legged babies, Hylton, Marlee, and Ragan. She is also survived by sisters, Dinah Rengel and husband David and Deborah Maynard; and special cousin, Earl Alderman and wife Phillis.

Thank you to MediHome Hospice for their care and help with Mom.

At Mom’s request there will be no service. She always said “Please have everybody to the house one last time because at some point they have all been here. You don’t even have to post my address. They know where it is!”

Her daughters will accept family and friends at Mom’s house from 12 pm – 4 pm Sunday, July 5, 2020.
