Cox, Gay Kiser
Gay Kiser Cox, age 92 of Dublin, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. She was born on October 18, 1922 in Council, VA, and was the daughter of the late Mary Lear Hale Kiser and Alva Mason Kiser. She was a member of the Dublin Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands; Harry Lloyd Neller, Sr. and Willard Edwin Smith, and Walter G. Cox: brothers and sisters; Walter Kiser, Martha Hale, Corra Compton, Grace Sparks, Gladys Napier, Grady Kiser, Carter Kiser and Alva “Al” Kiser, Jr.
She is survived by five sons: Harry Lloyd Neller, Jr. and his wife Dianne of Fredericksburg, Larry Edwin Smith and his wife Teresa of Conyers, GA, Charles “Charlie” Duane Smith and his wife Becky of Dublin, Mark Alva Smith and his wife Paula of Dublin, and David Cox and his wife Cindy of the state of Washington; a daughter: Pam Langley and her husband Mike of Hilton Head, SC; a sister: Faye McGhee of Wytheville; six grandchildren: Harry Lloyd Neller, III and his wife Michelle of Fredericksburg, Mark Duane Neller and his wife Mandi of Fredericksburg, Ryan Smith of Conyers, GA, Ashley Clark and her husband Matt of McDonough, GA, Kathryn Richardson and her husband Russel of Dublin, and Rachel Smith and her husband Tony of Pulaski. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. A private Entombment will be held on Friday at Highland Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at Seagle Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association Central & Western VA Chapter-Roanoke Region 2728 Colonial Avenue, S.W. Suite 2 Roanoke, Virginia 24015, or to your local Hospice organization.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Gayle. She and Faye were such delightful and fun people and she is going to be missed. Sorry we can’t be there for the funeral. We are living in Ripley, MS, near Memphis TN. We will meet her again and what a wonderful reunion that will be. God bless you all.
