Cox, Edward Kent

Edward Kent Cox, 54, of Waverly, Va., formely of Christiansburg, Va., made it to his Heavenly home on Saturday, May 4, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Namon and Barbara Cox; and sister, Wanda Sue Cox.

Kent proudly served his country in the United States Navy and is the founder of Dragonplate, home of Bech Lock Creations. He had a wonderful sense of humor, good heart, and loved to carry on laughing with friends and family.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Melissa Lynne Taylor; seven children and three grandchildren, James Cox, Martha Cox, Caitlin Cox, Jonathan Cox, Connie (Trey) Ryan Minga; stepdaughters, Kelly (Daniel) Pleasant, Susan (Justin ) Damien and Daxton Dunbar; brother, Roy David Cox; sister, Veronica, Darryl Cook, Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A day long celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home in Waverly, Va.
