Cox, Doris Boyd

Doris Boyd Cox, 78, of Riner, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cox; sons, Donnie, Larry and Jay Cox; two grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and parents.

She is survived by her son, Clay Cox, of Riner; five daughters, Helen and Richard Smith, of Riner, Ethel and Harold Estes, of Blacksburg, Wanda and Ronnie White, of Shawsville, Virginia Ann Altizer, of Riner, and Vickie and Tony Surratt, of Bassett; one sister, Marie and Clyde Goad; and three brothers, Glendon and Virginia Boyd, Edward and Ann Boyd, and Roger Lee and Polly Boyd, all of Floyd.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Cole Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Turpin, officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home in Floyd, Va.
