Cox, Ardella Washington

Ardella Washington Cox, 80, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Heritage Hall. She was born in Floyd County on February 8, 1933, to the late Herman Joseph Edmund and Nellie Ruth Muncey Price, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Royster Lee Cox; son, Randy Dale Cox; daughter, Josie Mae Cox; sister, Thelma Price; and a brother, Allen Lee Price.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Eddie Pritchard, of Christiansburg, Marlene and Doug Colter, of Floyd, Nancy Dean Potter, of Roanoke; son, Joe Cox, of Christiansburg; sister, Ellie F. Spradlin, of Blacksburg; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Floyd. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
