Cox, Annie Mae

Annie Mae Cox, 74, of Pembroke, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2019, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Radford on October 19, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Robert Glen and Louise Melinda Ross Cox.

She had been employed as a quality inspector at Federal Mogul. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Woolwine, and siblings Patsy Whittaker, Shirley Crockett, Robert “Chucky” Cox and Judy Johnston.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Renee Woolwine Buckland of Pembroke; her brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Crystal Cox of Radford; her grandchildren Stacy White (Don Ballard) of Christiansburg, Kristen Corell (Gareth Francis) of Peterstown, WV; her great-grandchildren Georden Chase White, and his father Gene White of Rich Creek, Kamryn Kinzer and Kylah Francis and her cat “Mable”.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennelle Cemetery at Blacksburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
