Covey, Jr., William Leb

Rev. William Leb Covey, Jr., age 86 of Pulaski passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Golden Living Center, Battlefield Park – Petersburg, VA. Born November 9, 1927 in Pulaski he was the son of the late William Leb Covey, Sr. & Nora Lee Songer Covey.

His beloved wife, Edith Louise Oakes Covey, son, James Edward Covey, brothers, Eugene, George and Wilbur Lee Covey, sisters, Ailene Covey Hurst and Joyce Ann Covey Chinault also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the United States Army having served his country in Japan & Hawaii.

He retired from Long Airdox with over 13 years of service as a truck operator.

He is survived by his

Children- William Marvin Covey & wife, Peggy Covey – Pulaski, Larry Wayne Covey, Sr. & wife, Mary Covey-Pulaski, Carolyn Marie Hubbard & husband, Thomas Hubbard – Wytheville.

Brother- Arnold Douglas Covey & wife, Damie Covey – Greensboro, NC.

Sister- Rita Covey Newman & husband, Claude Newman – Pulaski.

10 Grandchildren & 7 Great Grandchildren

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM – Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Highland Memory Gardens – Mausoleum, Dublin with Pastor Randall Jones officiating.
