Covey, Edith Oakes

Edith Louise Oakes Covey, age 81 of Pulaski passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 in the Highland Ridge Nursing Center, Dublin. She was born December 7, 1928 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Lovie James Oakes and Betty McKinney Oakes. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Emma Hawkins and Macie Knea.

She was a member of the Max Creek Baptist Church, Pulaski and was retired from RAAP with 20 years of service.

Surviving- Husband of 62 years- Rev. William Leb Covey, Jr.-Pulaski, Daughter- Carolyn Covey Hubbard- Wytheville, Sons- James Edward Covey-Pulaski, William Marvin Covey-Pulaski, Larry Wayne Covey, Sr.-Pulaski, Eleven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren,

A Committal service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Dublin with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating with entombment to follow. The family will receive friends at the home, 1979 Peakland Drive, Pulaski.
