Copko, Franklin Dean

Franklin Dean Copko, formerly of Radford, died on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at his home in Meriden, Conn. He was the son of the late Audrey Weeks of Radford, Va., and John Copko, of Glendale, N.Y. He was a graduate of Hargrave Military Academy, Chatham, Va., and served in the United States Air Force. He was a salesman throughout his career, and retired from Juno Corporation in Meriden. He is survived by a sister, Carol Asbury and husband, Robert, of Radford, Va.; a brother, Roger John Copko and wife, Teresa, of Chesapeake, Va.; three nephews, Major Robert P. Asbury III, USAF Retired and wife, Eileen, of Yorktown, Va., John Craig Asbury and wife, Wendy, of Birmingham, Ala., and Scott Copko Asbury and wife, Jennifer, of Niwot, Colo.; three great-nieces, Jessica and Julie Asbury, of Yorktown, Va., and Audrey Elena Asbury, of Niwot, Colo.; and special aunt and uncle, Billye and Robert White, of Salem.
