Cooper, Jr., Robert Clarence

Robert Clarence Cooper Jr. (Buddy), 73, of Dublin, passed away suddenly, on Friday August 12, 2016. Buddy was born in Wythe County on July 11, 1943, and was a graduate of Dublin High School.

He enjoyed numerous employment opportunities, including William A. Hazel, Inc., a large site developer in Chantilly, the Radford Arsenal, and Corning, Inc. of Blacksburg.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Cooper, Cora Cooper; sisters, Mary Dawson and Denise Papillon; and niece, Sandra Williams.

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Deborah Grenier (Martin) and Katherine Fisher (Sean); his sister, Katherine (Kitty) Spry; grandchildren, Haley, Abigail and Jackson; great-grandson, Nathan; nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Cindi, Tammy, and Missy; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Randolph Ave in Pulaski, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Dr. Don Peagram will be officiating. If you would like to visit with the family, please join us at the church between 1 and 2 p.m.

Buddy will be interred at Highland Memory Cemetery in Dublin in a private service for the family.
