Donald Charles Cooper, 77, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Omar Johnson Cooper; brothers, Bill, Homer, Ward, Roger, James and Ralph Cooper; sisters, Wilma Jean and Doris Cooper. He is survived by sisters, Betty Brewster, of Zuni, Peggy Semernzski, of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Gladys Davis Cooper; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
