Cooler Jr., Frederick William

Frederick William (Bill) Cooler Jr., 78, of Blacksburg, Va., died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Knoxville, Tenn., on December 7, 1930, to the late Frederick William Sr. and Helene Huray Cooler.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Caroline C. (Jane) Cooler, of Blacksburg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beth and Jim Rose, of Cookeville, Tenn.; nephew, James Rose Jr., of Knoxville, Tenn.; niece, Caroline Peacock and husband, Chris, of Nashville, Tenn.; and two precious great-nieces, Mary and Ella Peacock, of Nashville, Tenn.

Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009, in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, Tenn., with the Rev. Paul Burchar officiating.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street, N.E., Blacksburg, Va. 24060 or a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 16, 2009, at Berry Funeral Home South, Knoxville, Tenn., and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2009, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
