Cook, Roy Lee

On Friday, September 13, 2019, God decided to take away the pain and took Roy Lee Cook, 68, of Elliston, home. He was born in Christiansburg, VA on March 12, 1951 to the late Herman and Arbutis Reed Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cook; his children, Mike Shelor (Carol), Crystal Hollins (Mike Miller), Corina Hobbs (Mike); grandchildren, Christy Shelor (Brandon Davis), Michael Shelor (Samantha), J.J. Cumbee (Taylor), Randy Hollins, Haley Hollins, Faith Shelor, David Hobbs, Colt Compton; great-grandchildren, Mason, Trent, Bryson, Rylee May, Mavery, Emerson, Hayden, McKinley, Marlene; siblings, Wayne Cook, Linda Ball (Mike), “Rob” Leonard Cook (Debbie), Dexter Cook (Barbara), Sid Cook (Penny), Adam Cook (Peggy), Susie Cook (David), Tony Cook (Leann).

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
