Roger Dale Cook, age 55, of Longshop died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on December 24, 1958. He is survived by his wife, Susan Smith Cook of Longshop; mother, Almeta Cook of McCoy; father, Gerald Cook of Longshop; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Dana Cook of Longshop; sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Louie Wilson of Roanoke; brother, Mark Cook of Longshop; brother-in-law, Ed Smith of Roanoke; niece, Jessica Smith of Charleston, SC; nephews, David Cook of Radford, Nicholas Wilson of Roanoke; and his very special dog, Sam. At his request no services will be held but family and friends are welcome to call on the family at their home. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
