Eva Jean Johnson Cook, 82, of Christiansburg, formerly of Staunton, VA, went to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. She was born on April 13, 1933, in Staunton, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Morris James Cook; two brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Reggie Jones of Christiansburg; daughter, Marjie Henry of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Jimmy Willis of Christiansburg, Chris Henry and fiancée, Cassie of Williamsburg. Eva will be missed by a very special granddaughter, Stephanie C. of Christiansburg; a very special friend, Kelley of Pulaski; and another very special friend that was like a daughter to her and fixed her hair for many years, Jan Quesenberry of Christiansburg.

Her greatest love in life was her family – a special great-granddaughter, Kaylee Willis of Christiansburg; special great-grandsons, Christopher Willis and wife Heather, Robbie Willis of Christiansburg, Caleb and Nathan Henry of Williamsburg; and one great-great-grandson, Tucker Jaxson Willis of Christiansburg. She is also survived by three brothers, Frank A. Johnson, Bill Johnson, Harry Johnson and wife Dolly, all of Staunton; sister, Helen Smith of Logansville, GA; many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Scott Jamison, Dawn Fouse, PA, the staff at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the excellent care of Mom.

Her journey in life included the love of quilting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and her flower gardens. Her one passion in life was bowling and the many friendships she made.
