Annie Mae Cook, 85, of Blacksburg, Va., departed this life for her heavenly home on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on June 19, 1922 to the late Samuel and Lonnie Woolwine Gillespie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cook; three sons, Ribble Cook, Jerry Cook and David Cook; two daughters, Ella Mae Whitehurst and Mary Jane Wilen; two granddaughters, Victoria Delosh and Karen Delosh; and a grandson, Doug Alvey. She was a volunteer for RSVP for many years.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Bill Webb of Blacksburg and Brenda and Frank Kahn of Hallendale, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Lee and Mary Ann Cook of Brandywine, Md. and Gregory and Rhonda Cook of Radford; daughters-in-law, Kitty Cook and Doris Cook; a son-in-law, Phillip Whitehurst; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Bessie Cook of Blacksburg; sister, Lois Cook; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Davis, Lottie Walter and Dorothy Cook; 23 grandchildren; 33 greatgrandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hopkins and the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon on Thursday, November 1, 2007 and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
